Formado Manel Ariza started capoeira in Barcelona with Mestre Ediandro de Almeida, student of Mestre Sombra (Santos, Brazil). In 2001, Mestre Ediandro Almeida and Formado Manel Ariza opened the first capoeira school in Athens. Since then, and under the guidance of Mestre Ediandro, Formado Manel is responsible of the capoeira Banzo de Senzala Academy in Athens.

With respect to his Master, Formado Manel is devoted to the growth of capoeira in Athens, preserving all the origins and traditions of this art form.

Formado Manel has been trained in workshops ran by famous Masters of Capoeira, whose work is recognised and respected all over the world.
